A Fighter’s Journey

As a 5th generation Nevadan, my story isn’t one of silver spoons and easy roads.

It’s a tale of resilience, determination, and unwavering hope. Enduring four decades trapped in the darkness of human trafficking, starting at the age of 8 years old, I fought tooth and nail to survive and emerge stronger on the other side.

My journey hasn’t been without its share of dangers – including a brush with death during my final escape attempt in 2023. But through it all, I’ve stood firm, drawing strength from my own resilience and the unwavering support of my amazing family.

Today, I’m proud to have my family united by my side, who fuels my passion and drives my commitment to serving our community. With four amazing daughters, three wonderful sons-in-law, and twelve gorgeous grandchildren, they’re not just my rock – they’re my inspiration.

My experiences have shaped my perspective, instilling in me a deep-seated belief in the power of hope and the resilience of the human spirit. And now, fueled by my own journey from tragedy to triumph, I’m dedicated to fighting for the issues that matter most – not just for myself, but to pave the way for every survivor, every victim, and every family facing adversity.

I’m one of the longest-surviving humans on record to make it out of the human trafficking slave trade, where most victims don’t make it past 7 years, right here in the United States where freedom is supposed to be guaranteed. I’m also one of the first survivors to put their name on a ballot to run for public office and hope to pave the way for more survivors to do the same and allow them the right to vote as well.
